Clinical Department at Ninth People’s Hospital

Jiuyuan College of Clinical Medicine, Shanghai Jiao TongUniversity, was founded in 1995. It undertakes the responsibilitiesof theoretic teaching, pre-clinical and clinical practicefor5-year-program, 7-year-program,and 8-year-program students fromthe College of Clinical Medicine and Stomatology. Professor Dai Kerong was the first dean, andProfessor Zhou Liming and Zhang Wei once served as vicedeans.  In1996, Professor Zhang Disheng waselected to  be a member of Chinese  Academy ofEngineering. In 2002, Professor Wang Wai was awardedlife-long Professorship.  In 2004, Professor DaiKerong was elected to be a member of Chinese Academy ofEngineering. Currently, the college boasts two members of ChineseAcademy of Engineering, one Chief Scientist ofthe National “973” Program, and one life-long professor. ProfessorDai Kerong is the honorary dean, Professor FanXianqun is the dean and Professor Chen Yuanmei is the vicedean. There are also two experts of“the New Century ScholarsProgram” of the Ministry  of Education, one Excellent Young  Teacher of Shanghai Municipality, oneDistinguished Teacher of  Shanghai Jiao Tong University,twenty-five  supervisors  of doctoratepostgraduates  and thirty-nine supervisors  ofgraduate students working for master's degrees  in Jiuyuan  College  of Clinical  Medicine , Shanghai  Jiao Tong University.

Chen Yuanmei
Professor Chen Yuanmei was graduated from Shanghai Jiao TongUniversity School of Medicine (originally Shanghai SecondMedicine College) and got bachelor's degree in the class of1984. She has worked in Shanghai No.9 People′s Hospital sine1984.  In 2001, She attended a graduate course in ShanghaiSecond Medical University, receiving the master's degree in2003. She was promoted to be chief physician in 2005. Now,Professor Chen Yuanmei, a cardiologist, is specialized in diagnosisand treatment of cardiovascular diseases. From 2005 to 2006she worked and did research as a visiting scholar in the cardiologydepartment of MD Aderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas,USA
Professor Chen Yuanmei started serving as the assistant presidentof Jiuyuan College of  Clinical  Medicine in2006. She later became vice-dean, and is currently engaged inmedical education.
